Bima Kavach is a non-parity, linked, lifetime, individual pure risk plan, which provides financial protection to the family of the insured in case of his/her unfortunate death during the policy term.
Protection Plus
Besides life insurance coverage, this plan offers flexibility in choosing the type of mutual fund, increasing/decreasing the sum assured and paying additional premiums. Partial withdrawal is allowed after five years from the effective date.
Under this plan, the applicant can choose the premium amount he/she wants to pay, based on which the basic sum assured is determined. The basic premium can be paid as a fixed salary or as a limited salary.

LIC said this plan offers flexibility to choose from two death benefit options – sum assured at the same level and increased sum assured. It also offers flexible premium payment options: one-off, limited and regular.
“The life assured can choose a policy term, which can be up to 100 years, ensuring long-term protection. There is also an option to receive the benefits in installments, providing additional financial convenience.
“Another major highlight of this plan is the option available to life policyholders to enhance life cover on pre-defined life stage events (marriage or birth of a child), which is available under the sum assured option with regular premium payment,” LIC said.
