LFA 224 Weigh-in results: 1 fight canceled

The Legacy Fighting Alliance kicks off 2026 with a heavyweight championship fight for the vacant title, which is now official after the LFA 224 weigh-ins.Matthew Adams and undefeated prospect Arslan Bilalov are the opponents for up to five possible rounds. Both men came in under the heavyweight limit of 266 pounds. As for the rest of the card, all the fighters gained weight with the exception of Jose Ferreira, who came in 5.8 pounds over the lightweight cap. As a result, his fight against Ednilson Barros Santos has been canceled.

The 28-year-old Adams is the slightly more experienced professional fighter, who enters the title fight with a record of 5-1. “Bad” has won five straight since losing his professional debut to Cameron Kinzig. Meanwhile, Bilalov has never tasted defeat and is 5-0 in mixed martial arts. The Russian fighter trains from America’s top team and has finished his last two fights by arm-triangle submission. Adams will be the heavier fighter as he weighed 263 pounds, compared to Bilalov’s 240.6 pounds.

LFA 224’s main card will air live on Vice TV starting at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT, while the preliminaries begin at 7:30 PM ET/4:30 PM PT on the promotion’s YouTube channel.
