The likes of ARSENAL are on alert amid reports that AC Milan are ready to cash in on Rafael Leao when the summer transfer window opens in just a few months’ time.

The transfer window has been open for a few weeks now and there have been a lot of transfer rumors surrounding Arsenal and who they could sign, but despite all the speculation, it has been a pretty boring period for Gunners fans to witness.

There are more players who have left the club than have arrived, and with just a few days of the transfer window remaining, the Gunners are still working hard to sign a number of fringe players from the club before the deadline closes on Monday.

But there is already talk about the type of players who do that ARSENAL could sign at the end of the season, and there are already a few names linked to the club that could excite many Blues fans.

WHAT’S THE LATEST WITH RAFAEL LEAO?

According to the Daily Mail CHELSEA are looking to strengthen on the left wing and the Portugal international has been mentioned as a potential option with a price tag of around £80m.

Leao is one of the most highly rated wingers in European football, with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal just three clubs who have kept a close eye on him in recent seasons.

The reports claim that Milan want to cash in on Leao at the end of the season to raise some money and refresh the squad so that he can really challenge for the Seria A title and the Champions League crown, and that £80 million would be spent on freshening up the squad.

CAN Arsenal SIGN LEAO?

Arsenal have been linked with Rafael Leao in recent seasons, they have even made some moves, but they have been unable to convince Milan to let one of the club’s star players leave. They failed to get a deal done.

If the rumors are true, if Milan want to sell, then ARSENAL If they have the money, the football history and the space for a player like Leao to come in and really take the Premier League by storm, the Gunners could really be a tempting move for Leao, that’s for sure.

ARSENAL EYE ESPOSITO

It appears Arsenal are keeping a close eye on young Inter Milan striker Pio Esposito as they look to add a new striker to that attack, as there are reports that Viktor Gyokeres could be replaced by Mikel Arteta.

Gyokeres joined Arsenal in a £64million deal from Sporting CP last July after an impressive run of 97 goals in 102 appearances for the Portuguese side, but the Sweden international has scored just eight goals during his time at the Emirates and looks like a man struggling for confidence.

There have been some media reports in recent days that Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez is another player who ARSENAL are very interested in signing, but his asking price of £87 million could be a problem for the Gunners.

But it now appears that Arsenal are still scouring Europe for possible alternatives for Alvarez and it appears they could raid Italian giants Inter Milan when the summer transfer window opens in a few months’ time.

WHAT’S THE LATEST WITH ESPOSITO?

According to CalcioMercato, Esposito caught the eye of Arsenal during last week’s Champions League meeting between the sides, and the report states that Arsenal scouts are said to be impressed with his overall performance at San Siro.

As a result, Esposito is now another name added to the growing list of striker targets for the Gunners and they will be keeping a close eye on the club between now and the end of the season, with a view to making an offer to try and get a transfer deal done.

CAN ESPOISITO REALLY MAKE A MOVE TO ARSENAL?

Look, he is happy at Milan, he is playing, the boy is developing very nicely and there is great interest ARSENAL just shows the quality he shows, it will be a compliment to keep a close eye on such a big club.

The summer transfer window is still many months away and there will be much more speculation, but if Arsenal continue to be impressed from the opening of the window then they will make a move.

The boy has serious potential and is at the age where Mikel Arteta could form his perfect striker, so it will be interesting to see if the Gunners do indeed make a move this summer.

By Gyokeres has to score goals because his performances do not match the quality he has shown in recent seasons.

LEWIS-SKELLY TIPPED FOR MOVE

Jeremie Aliadiere has now opened up and claimed that Myles Lewis-Skelly could benefit from a loan move this transfer window after struggling to make the impact this season for the side he managed last season.

Lewis-Skelly burst onto the scene last semester and broke out ARSENAL‘s youngster is on the verge of establishing himself as a genuine first-team star alongside fellow academy product Ethan Nwaneri. But despite that promising breakthrough season, Lewis-Skelly has found regular minutes harder to come by this season, with the teenager falling behind Riccardo Calafiori in the pecking order

Lewis-Skelly has made just one league start so far this season, and given the full-back has struggled to get game time this season, Aliadiere believes the 19-year-old may have benefited from a loan move in the second half of the season.

‘Yes, probably, because he is one of those who do that, even when [Riccardo] Calafiori is injured, Mikel [Arteta] it seems like he would prefer that [Jurrien] Wood down there or [Piero] Hincapie now,” Aliadiere on the SUN

“So where does Myles fit in this pecking order? I know that, probably from Mikel’s perspective, he wants to keep as many players as possible at the club because we have so many games.

‘But on the other hand you have Myles, who broke through into the England squad last year and played so many games for ARSENAL and doesn’t get many chances.

‘And now that the World Cup is just around the corner in a few months, he’s probably thinking: ‘What should I do? Because I would love to go to the World Cup. I want to be back in the England team. What do I have to do to get there?’

IcFootballnews says…

Lewis-Skelly is one of the most talented left backs in the country and a ARSENAL player who Mikel Arteta can become one of the best in the game, he has a long future ahead of him if he makes the right career choices.

Arteta won’t sell the young man, maybe they won’t even let him go out on loan, he has to stay where he is, learn from the experienced players and keep fighting for his place in the team, it will come
