Inflation is worried

This refers to the report ‘June Retail Inflation Print, also seen below 2.8%of May’ (14 July). Although the lower inflation percentage, the costs of food and medicines influence the common man.

Given the rising costs of living and shrinking disposable income, dependence on the inflation of the retail trade must be reviewed to determine the policy rates for regulating the delivery of money. A further reduction of the repo rate for reducing capital costs will be counterproductive for consumption. Lowering of policy percentages does not necessarily increase the demand for credit. A holistic approach is necessary to keep the prices of essential raw materials stable to stimulate growth.

Shun Freebies

The article ‘Useless information has a huge political utility’, (July 14), repeats and exposes how hollow – usually absurd – conclusions are brought into the public domain to develop stories that meet the interests of the proponents.

Lorenz Curve or Gini are only as good as the underlying data cannot be overestimated. So also the fact that the interpretations and the conclusion of this must be unbiased.

Equality can never be achieved or equated with Freebies: but the core of many welfare programs wastes the tendency to waste scarce means that the spirit of enterprise corrodes, promoting a culture of lazy expectations. It is high time that we work on a more responsible government administration, lean and mean, but aimed at the development of the entire society.

Dark stores of Q-Commun

The article that sheds light on dark supermarkets (14 July) relates directly to the main cause of public health and hygiene at the expense of rapid delivery. There must be standard Fssai standards to hire or set up Godowns and stores.

Since most supermarket products have a brief reinforcement, the e-commerce companies must be instructed to comply with the FSSAI standards via a compliance portal and the inspection reports and compliance with the rules and regulations for food safety and regulations must be regularly reported on such portals.

The recent complaints of false foods delivered by an e-commerce company have warned people and supervisors. It can be thought that our local mandis and weekly vegetable markets are not allowed to be uprooted by these e-commerce companies, so they must be limited to only metro cities. The FSSAI network is not visible to people, we do not know how to complain if they are sold if unhygienic products are sold by e-commercial companies. Our local supermarkets are at least responsible and quickly solve the problems.
