Leonard-Harden duo lifts Clippers to dominate Nets 126-89 – TalkBasket.net

The Los Angeles Clippers dominated the Brooklyn Nets 126-89 after building a 38-point lead in the second quarter on Sunday night.

Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard dropped in 21 of his 28 points in the first half, James Harden scored 19, John Collins added 18 and Jordan Miller had 16.

Ivica Zubac finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds as the Clippers won for the eighth time in nine games.

At the other end, Danny Wolf dropped 14 points, and Egor Demin had 12 for the Nets, who shot 28% in the first half and 34% on 29 for 86 overall, including 21% of 9 for 43 from deep.

The Nets lost their fourth straight game and have lost 10 of their last 11 games and 13 of 15.

Brooklyn suffered a double overtime loss to the Boston Celtics on Friday, followed by the New York Knicks 120-66.

Los Angeles started with a 24-point lead in the first quarter and extended their lead to 38 points in the second, leading 68-37 at intermission.

The Clippers maintained their lopsided lead in the second half and led 96-66 heading into the fourth.

Meanwhile, when teams met in LA on January 15, 2025, the Clippers won 126-67, and the 59-point winning margin is the only 50-point win for them.

Both teams will play road games on Tuesday: the Nets will take on the Suns, while the Clippers will face the Jazz.
