LeBron James’ jerseys will look a little different than those of his Lakers teammates for the rest of this season.
Topps — the ultra-popular trading card company — announced Monday that the Los Angeles superstar will have a number of special edition patches printed on his uniform tops for the remainder of the 2026 schedule.
The blue, red and yellow decals commemorate the 23 seasons James played during his illustrious career.
In addition to the Cavaliers, Heat and Lakers colors, the logo will also feature the words “NBA seasons,” number 23 and a silhouette of James throwing chalk in the air.
Topps stated that fans will be able to see the honor for the first time on James’ jersey later Monday night when the Lakers take on the Kings in Sacramento – the city where James first began his Hall of Fame career in 2003.
“The patches will be removed from his jersey after each game,” Topps said in announcing the tribute, “and some will be placed in extremely rare trading cards.”
James, the first player to ever complete 23 NBA seasons, was excited about the recognition, calling it “so awesome” on his Instagram page on Monday.
“I need some for my own collection!!!” he added.
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 draft played 11 seasons in Cleveland, four in Miami and eight and more in Los Angeles during his time in the Association.
He and the Lakers will tip off against the Kings at 7:00 PM PT at the Golden 1 Center.
