UFC women’s fight announcements
Ernesta Kareckaite vs. Sofia Monterego
Taking place on February 28 in Mexico City, Ernesta Kareckaite meets Sofia Montenegro at flyweight. Lithuanian Kareckaite has started her UFC career 1-1, having won via split decision last time out and rebounding from a debut loss. Despite her nickname ‘Heavy Handed’, she has only achieved two knockouts and four decision wins.
Her opponent, Montenegro, is from Argentina and will make her official UFC debut in Mexico. She was signed to the Contender Series despite losing via split decision. She wants to prove that Dana White made the right choice.
Alexa Grasso vs. Maycee Barber
Two big names in the flyweight division will compete on March 28 Seattle, Washington. Former champion Alexa Grasso will look to break her three-fight winless run as she meets the in-form and dangerous Maycee Barber.
Last time out, Grasso was defeated in dominant fashion by Natalia Silva and dropped to #3 in the rankings. Barber, on the other hand, returned to action after a nearly two-year absence and multiple medical issues at UFC 323. Barber put on perhaps the best performance of his career, extending her winning streak to seven straight bouts. The last woman who hit her…? Alexa Grasso in 2021.
Grasso defeated Barber via unanimous decision at UFC 258, but both women are now at vastly different points in their careers.

Tatiana Suarez vs. Loopy Godinez
One of the more high-profile announcements in the UFC women’s flyweight division will see former title challenger Tatiana Suarez meet Loopy Godinez on April 11 at UFC 327. Taking place in Miami, Florida, Suarez will look to continue her quest for the title by defeating Mexico’s Godinez. Last time, Suarez bounced back from her dominant title loss by narrowly beating Amanda Lemos in September last year.
Godinez, on the other hand, is working towards her first title opportunity and having Suarez’s name on her list will certainly contribute to that. She already has former champion Jessica Andrade on her list as a W, having defeated her last time out. Her 81% takedown defense will be tested against Suarez and only time will tell if she is good enough to add Suarez to her list of achievements.

Carli Judice vs. Juliana Miller
Carli Judice and Juliana Miller meet in the UFC women’s flyweight division on February 21 in Houston, Texas.
Judice is a hot commodity at 125 pounds and bounced back from her UFC debut loss (a split decision) with two brutal finishes, both of which earned her performance bonuses of the night. With five wins and five finishes, don’t expect the judges to be there when needed Crispy walks in there.
Miller will be competing back-to-back in the UFC for the first time, following her win over Ivana Petrovic last time out. The TUF 30 champion hasn’t had an easy time in the UFC and with a 2-2 record as it stands, she will look to topple Judice to keep her spot on the roster.
The two were scheduled to meet last year, but Miller had to withdraw from the fight.
