LeBron James opens for the season about the impact of Lakers -Unwerteliness

LeBron James will be an unlimited free agent after this coming season, after the Superstar van Lakers collected the player option for this coming year, but he does not anticipate his contract status that influences the way he plays this season.

“It will not have an impact,” James said to ESPN. “I am super enthusiastic about the challenges and the excitement of our team. We have added a number of new boys. We have received a year under our belt with our coaching staff of last year. I have a full year with Luka [Doncic] And another year with the boys I have been to. So super enthusiastic about that.

“And at the moment I am not worried about contracts in my career. That does not bother me at all. Super humiliated to even have it, still have a contract and to be able to play the game that I still love in this part of my career and fully benefit from it.”

This year is the first time in his eight seasons with the Lakers that he will play with an expiring contract.

Questions about the future of James in the NBA have surfaced with the superstar who became 41 in December, but he indicated that every decision will not be based on his son Bryce James, who will be a first -year student at the University of Arizona.

“I’m not waiting for Bryce,” he said. “He has his own timeline. I have my timeline and I don’t know if they fit together properly.”

James suffered a degree 2 MCL disguing in his left knee earlier this year and he is still running while he is preparing for the 2025-26 season.

And the 40-year-old Nbaer hinted that he can be limited in how much he participates in the preseason and the training camp.

“It is clear that I want to be there as much as possible if I can … But we know where I am, and the coaching staff know where I am to a place where we are all good to get on the field,” said James.

“It is 23 of me. I have many kilometers in my game. I trained during the outdoor season, but only my presence will also be important. Even if I am not on the floor, I am always tailored to what we do, I always know what is going on. So I just look forward to it.”
