Where stars fade quickly, LeBron James continues to shine clearer with the age. At the age of 40, LeBron was just appointed as the All-NBA team for a record-extended 21st consecutive year. Although a lot of speculation surrounded its future, the debate does not question the impact that he still has on and next to the field.

After an average of 24.4 points, 8.2 assists and 7.8 rebounds per match this season, LeBron again defended age. But this campaign was about more than statistics because LeBron played with his son, Bonny James, the first father-son duo in NBA history marked to share the floor.

Although fans wonder whether this might be the last dance of the king, LeBron itself remains undecided.

“I don’t know. I don’t have an answer to that,” he said after the play -off exit of the Lakers. “It’s something I will talk to my family. I have to think about how long I want to keep playing.”

His agent and old friend, Rich Paul, repeated the uncertainty in an interview about the rich demands -show:

“I have no idea, zero. This is how it has always been that LeBron takes his time, reflects and decides what the next step is when he is ready.”

Yet the NBA community largely expects a return. LeBron not only plays at an elite level, but the energy he found while sharing the court with Bronny, combined with the potential of the Lakers after the trade in Luka Dončić, has ruled his competition.

With the 2025 NBA All-Star game that takes place in Los Angeles, the stage is perfect for a farewell trip or perhaps a last title pin. The Lakers, sources say are ready to give him everything he needs to stay.

And when he comes back for a 23rd season? We can’t wait for him to rewrite history.
