Leapmotor has unveiled the interior of the A10 (internal codename B03X), its new electric compact SUV that is now available for pre-order ahead of a market launch in China next month. The A10 made its public debut at the Guangzhou Motor Show last year and is announced as a competitor to the BYD Atto 2.

The A10’s cabin features a horizontal dashboard with a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a 2.5K resolution. Judging by the lack of physical controls on the dashboard, all of the vehicle’s controls are digitally accessible via the central display located above the elongated air vents.

Drivers will interact with a double-spoke steering wheel and an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, with other features including a wireless charging pad, dual cupholders and ambient lighting. The cockpit’s technologies are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8295 chip, including the AI assistant powered by Alibaba’s Qwen.

Looking at other images of the A10’s interior circulating on Weibo, the electric vehicle (EV) also appears to be available with a fairly large glass roof (with a powered sunshade) and folding tray tables behind the front seat backs. For practical convenience, the second-row bench seat folds up to create a hidden storage area, and there is under-floor storage in the cargo area.

On the exterior front, the A10 adopts the brand’s ‘Tech Natural Aesthetics 2.0’ design language, highlights of which include a closed grille, front air curtains, a trapezoidal lower air intake, semi-hidden door handles, prominent body cladding and blacked-out and ribbed C-pillars for a ‘floating roof’ look. If you look at the lighting units long enough, you’ll notice that they form a “smiling face”, especially at the back – you may have to stare at the front longer.

Regulatory documents show that the A10 has a length of 4,270 mm, a width of 1,810 mm, a height of 1,635 mm and a wheelbase of 2,605 mm. For comparison, the Atto 2 is 4,310 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, 1,675 mm high and the wheelbase is 2,620 mm. Customers can order their A10 in six colors, namely Seaweed Green, Acorn Brown, Berry Blue, Tundra Gray, Starlight Silver and Morgan Pink.

The A10 will reportedly come with a 122 PS (121 hp or 90 kW) electric motor, powered by a 39.8 or 53 kWh battery. These offer a CLTC range of 400 and 500 km respectively, with DC fast charging taking them from 30-80% charge in 16 minutes.

The presence of a LiDAR sensor on the roof suggests a high degree of ADAS, with the company noting that such functions will be handled by an SA8650 chip. The A10 is a global model and is expected to be launched in Europe (after China) in the second half of this year.
