Lauri Markkanen has just proven that he is exactly what Jazz has searched for

Enough has been said about how the Utah Jazz Lauri Markkanen does not trade. Enough has been said about what he looks like as his old self in Eurobasket. What he and Finland have just proven is exactly what the jazz is looking: a star that can guide the jazz for an exciting future.

Markkanen and Finland have just awarded Serbia – eliminating them in the process – in what was considered one of the greatest disturbances in the history of Eurobasket.

Markkanen was certainly not only in the efforts of Finland, but as his statline would indicate above, it is fair to suggest that they would not have won without him.

People can say, “Yes, but what?” In response, but Serbia was considered the favorites in the tournament because they have Nikola Jokic. Finland beats Serbia to continue in the Eurobasket Tournament is more or less the NBA equivalent of the jazz who beat the Nuggets to continue in the Play -offs.

No, that is not going to happen with those teams as is currently built this season, but the ability of Markkanen to help Finland take this out, shows exactly why the jazz should rely on what he can do when he is on the floor.

Everyone knows the rare talent that Markkanen has, but to be able to do what he was just doing in such a high effort – the last time that Finland beat Serbia was in the Eurobasket Tournament 2008 – Show that Utah must trust their Finnish star to thrive in a play -off setting.

It is for that reason that there will be a lot of speculation about whether Utah Markkans will be trading this season.
