Lauri Markkanen did not look so good the last time he played for the Utah Jazz. Since he played for Finland during Eurobasket, he looked nothing less than brilliant. Although this does not have much to do with jazz, there is a solid chance that he can increase his value enough to see himself being traded with Finland.
Tim Bontemps van ESPN explained on “The Hope Collective”Why he could see Markkanen’s Eurobasket performance, which led to the jazz that exchanged him to embrace their childhood.
“I am very curious that he is playing with the Finnish national team. They have the chance to possibly run in this tournament. I am curious if that will be a springboard for him to come back with jazz and much more on the player he was a few years ago.
“Because if he is, a, it is clear for jazz only to let him play again, and B, he will be an interesting guy to look at the trade market the following year to see if this is the moment when Utah decides to go from him when he is back as an All-Star and trying to stay in this youth staging, said Bontemps.
The prospect of a trade in Markkanen has been discussed since he signed his extension with jazz even before he signed his extension last year. There has been no Intel that confirms that the Jazz is currently planning to sell him. The last time every Markkans Intel came out, it was confirmed that Utah intends to keep him.
But things can change. If it becomes obvious that it does not fit with the long -term vision of jazz, or if it is clear that Utah is better off is as young as possible, it can open the door for an exchange.
Jazz -fans may not like that because of how big Impact Markkanen made in the team, because no one expected him to be so good. More than that, if they chose to replace him, it is impossible to say whether someone they would exchange him can be impactful in the same way.
However, something else must be clear about a potential trade in Markkans.
The jazz can only exchange Markkans for a hunger
If Markkanen looks on a star again at the same time, while he also looks like he’s better off elsewhere, the jazz would only have to trade it if they get a deal that is comparable to the person they have received for Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.
