New Delhi, September 19, 2025: The Indian Junior Women’s Hockey team is ready to tour Australia for an exciting series of five games, planned to take place in the National Hockey Center in Canberra from 26 September to 2 October 2025. The matches will be played on September 26, September 27, September 29, September 30 and October 2.

During the Tour, India plays their first three games against the Australia Junior Women’s team, followed by two games against the local side Canberra Chill, a club that competes in the Hockey One League in Australia.

This will be an important exposure tour for the Indian Junior ladies team while continuing their preparations for the FIH Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup 2025, which will be hosted in Santiago in December of this year. The Tour is supported by ‘Anandana’-a Coca-Cola India Foundation, whose support the young side has enabled to compete against one of the top hockey-playing countries in the world.

The series offers the Indian team the opportunity to test itself in challenging circumstances and to gain invaluable international competition experience against the Australian Junior Women’s team, known for its fast and physical hockey. For many of the players, this will also be their first overseas exposure at a junior level, making it a crucial step in their growth and development.

Looking ahead to the tour, said Indian Junior Women’s Hockey team coach Tushar Khandker: “We are grateful for this opportunity to visit Australia, one of the strongest hockey-playing countries in the world.
