The South Korean international son Heung-Min is officially on the way to MLS.
Western Conference Club Lafc has taken over in a transfer from the English Premier League side Tottenham, both clubs announced on Wednesday. Son will have a designated player contact with Lafc until the 2027 ml season and the club also has two option years until 2029.

Son, 33, spent the last 10 years with Tottenham, which allowed the club to reach the UEFA Champions League final in 2019 and the Europa League trophy in May. He scored 173 goals and added 101 assists in 454 performances for the Noord -London club.
The veteran attacker has also remained a consistent performer at international level with South Korea, who has earned 134 caps so far and scored 51 goals. He has already helped his country to be eligible for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will take place on North American soil.

The team of Steve Cherundolo is in the Western Conference sixth and will have their Third Leagues Cup Group Stage match against Tigres on Tuesday.
