One of the big strengths of the best Standard Bred -stallion of New -Zeeland Gamblers pleasure Could also be a reason why Lady of the Light will be defeated in Alexandra Park tonight.
Lady of the Light has opened favorite for the $ 20,000 of tonight, thanks to the ATC Stewards Pace (20.08pm), in which she faces a 20m handicap more than 2200m.
That only overcoming is not an easy performance, but adding her difficulty factor is that Lady of the Light has been fresh since January and only had two training sessions.
“There is only so fit that you can get them without a race,” says trainer Jeremy Young.
“So she will improve and you will find delights with most gamblers [stock of the stallion] They always improve with a run under their belt.

But Young believes that the more experienced mantra blue should actually be the favorite of tonight, although she should give Lady of the Light a start of 10m and more to a number of handy other rivals in the small field.
“I am not saying that our mare cannot win, but I think Mantra Blue is the one who needs to be defeated.”
Both mares may have trouble getting into the fight in the first half of the race, because their four other rivals will probably set up a fixed pace to get the most out of their handicap.
But Mantra Blue still appeals as the best gamble in a difficult small race.
In the next race, Young also brings his stable traven star back to the races with Eyre.
He was a consistent provisional in the last campaign and finished seventh in the Anzac Cup of Group 1 in April and Young thinks he will continue to improve.
“He has done an excellent job for the owners and will do this again this campaign, but just like the mare he is fresh against fit opposition.”
Backmarkers Belle Neige and Lord Popinjay are perhaps the best two trotters in tonight’s small field, but again, if it is pace, it could play in the hooves of Castana, which should be handy from Barrier 1.
