Tottenham Hotspur will take on a top six Premier League side for the second time in a row as they take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow at 4.30pm UK time in their North London derby, which corresponds to matchday 12 of the campaign.
With just two wins in their last five appearances in the English top-flight, Spurs will be looking to pick something up against their in-form rivals and here’s a look at the starting XI Thomas Frank is expected to entrust with the job.
Goalkeeper – Guglielmo Vicario is likely to keep his place between the sticks for Spurs.
Defenders – Pedro Porro is expected to start as a right back, while Djed Spence could also be deployed as a left back by his manager. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven could be given a nod in the center of defence, completing an unchanged defense for Spurs from last time’s Manchester United game.
Kudus returns
Midfielders – Joao Palhinha has established himself as a key part of Thomas Frank’s plans and could feature in the double pivot for Tottenham Hotspur, with Pape Mata Sarr likely to be chosen over Rodrigo Bentancur to team up with the Portuguese. Xavi Simons is also slated to play as the team’s number 10.
Tottenham’s only substitution for the game against Arsenal will likely come on the right flank £55 million star Mohammed Kudus expected to return to the team. Richarlison, on the other hand, could remain on the left wing.
Come on – Randal Kolo Muani could play as a striker for Tottenham against Arsenal.
This is what the Lilywhites might look like on paper.
