KTM adds 26 extra train journeys for Hari Raya 2026 – 8,118 seats per day from March 17-29, ETS and EMUPlus – paultan.org

Good news for those who plan to do so back home via rail this Hari Raya Aidilfitri. KTM has added 26 additional train journeys from March 17 to 29 to meet high holiday demand. The company says it’s a proactive move as tickets for the period are almost sold out.

Of the total, 18 journeys are for the ETS and eight for EMUPlus services. All told, there will be an additional 8,118 seats per day, including Business Class seats, for a total of 105,534 additional seats. In total, there will be 285,714 seats across 70 daily services during the Raya period, with an average of 21,978 seats per day. The extra seats are for:

ETS

Eight services for JB Sentral – KL Sentral – JB Sentral

Six services for Ipoh – KL Sentral – Ipoh

Two services for Butterworth – KL Sentral – Butterworth

Two services for Padang Besar – KL Sentral – Padang Besar

EMUPlus

Eight services for Ipoh – KL Sentral – Ipoh

KTM says seats for 10 of the extra services went on sale from 12pm yesterday (March 1), with the rest going on sale in the near future. The schedule for the 10 additional ETS trains is as follows:

Meanwhile, a special Ekspres Lambaian Aidilfitri (ELA) edisi Pantai Timur will operate from KL Sentral – Tumpat on March 18 and Tumpat – KL Sentral on March 22 for the return journey. 792 tickets are offered for this service, including sleeping places. Each train has 120 beds (RM90 upper, RM95 lower) in addition to Kelas Premier (RM80) and Kelas Superior (RM95) seats.

There’s more. The ELA edisi Utara special train will run trains north from March 17 to 22 and return trains to KL from March 18 to 23. 1,200 Kelas Superior tickets are on offer for RM70 one way. Tickets can be purchased via the KITS Style app, KTM’s website or at kiosks at select stations.
