Jose Alvarado has given New York a boost since being acquired at the trade deadline. Alvarado scored 12 points in a win over the Celtics, exploded for 26 points during a 49-point rout of the 76ers, and recorded five steals in two of the last four games.
The Cavaliers are also playing well, but are certainly not invincible against tough competition. They fell 121-113 to the Thunder on Sunday and defeated the Nuggets by just two points on February 9. New York is 5-2 against the spread in its last seven road games; Cleveland is 0-2 ATS in the last two overall.
