For users of the KLIA Ekspres train service, this is important information for you. This has a special itinerary for the month of Ramadan and only concerns the KLIA Transit (not the KLIA Ekspres non-stop train).
On normal days, the first train starts its journey from KL Sentral to KLIA2 at 5:03 am and the time interval is every 30 minutes until 6:33 am. After that, peak time starts until 9:03 am, with time intervals reduced to 15 minutes. While the evening rush hour is from 4:03 PM to 8:03 PM, trains arrive every 15 minutes. Otherwise the interval is every half hour, except from 11pm to midnight where the interval is every 20 minutes.
As for weekends and holidays, KLIA Transit’s time interval is every 30 minutes during the day, except from 11pm to midnight where it runs every 20 minutes – no peak hours on weekends and holidays.
If you take the train from the airport to the city, the first train (from KLIA2) leaves at 5:18 AM and the last train leaves at 12:30 PM. Peak hours on weekdays are from 6:18 AM to 8:46 AM and from 4:18 PM to 7:46 PM. No peak hours on weekends, only 30 minute intervals except during the last hour of service.
This Ramadan schedule with changed peak times applies from now until March 20.
