Manchester United won a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday, November 1.
Amad Diallo secured a point by finding the back of the net in the 81st minute, allowing the Red Devils to extend their unbeaten run to four games.
The team has been on the rise of late under Ruben Amorim, following a summer of calculated investment in the squad.
However, INEOS is far from finished and is expected to be active in the winter transfer period. A new midfielder is high on their priority list, with recent reports suggesting Corinthians’ Breno Bidon is one of the names on their radar.
United focuses on emerging talent
United have changed their transfer strategy in recent times and are mainly focusing on younger talents with a lot of potential. The Red Devils are keeping an eye on the best emerging footballers in the world as they look to build a squad for both the present and the future.
It was recently suggested that young AIK Fotboll striker Kevin Filling had appeared on the club’s radar after breaking into the senior side.
The 16-year-old is already being touted as Sweden’s next big player and has scored two goals in seven games this season.
While it has been suggested that United have entered negotiations to secure his signature, a recent report from The Peoples Person has refuted these claims. However, another update has now outlined the asking price for the young Swede.
Aston Villa also in the race
According to Football DirectAIK Fotboll wants €5 million to allow their prized asset to leave. The report also mentions interest from United, while further denying previous claims about ongoing negotiations.
The Red Devils have reportedly contacted the club with a plan to secure his signature and then send him on loan to INEOS-owned FC Lausanne-Sport.
The Premier League giants expressed their desire to pay €3 million for the teenager but were quickly told they will have to increase their bid to secure Filling.
The report adds that Aston Villa are also in the race but are unwilling to pay more than €3 million for the youngster. However, under current regulations, the Swede cannot move to Britain until he turns 18 in November next year.
