Kembla Grange meeting postponed after track inspection fails | Just horse racing

Racing at Kembla Grange has been postponed after a stewards inspection found part of the circuit unsuitable for racing.

The problem was identified in part of the surface outside the winning post, prompting officials to prioritize safety and abandon the meeting.

As a result, the entire program has been moved to Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Race authorities moved quickly to make the call ahead of the scheduled start.

Now that the revised date has been confirmed, all racing fields will remain unchanged.

Any scratches identified for the original meeting will be repaired, requiring joints to be re-scratched if necessary.
