Karnataka Professor is confronted with research when girls claims claim that hijab is forced during the trip

A assistant professor at the Central University of Karnataka in Kalaburagi has been accused of putting pressure on female students to wear the hijab during an excursion, as a result of which the university has started an internal investigation into the issue.

The accused, Abdul Majid, teaches in the Department of History and Archaeology and had organized educational tours in Kalaburagi and Bidar districts. According to complaints from students, the visits were mainly focused on sites related to the Muslim community, and the professor is said to be insisted on the fact that female students wear the hijab while participating in these excursions.

The Legal Rights Protection Forum, an organization established in Hyderabad, submitted a formal complaint to the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Battu Satyanarayana. In its memorandum, the forum encouraged the university to take appropriate disciplinary measures against Professor Majid.
