A media statement said that this initiative affirms the bank’s commitment to providing convenient, secure and value-added digital services to meet the evolving needs of its customers.
The bank has received necessary permission from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), along with approval from the Ministry of Finance, Government of Karnataka, to collect revenue from the state government through the Khajane-2 Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS).
With this facility, Karnataka Bank now facilitates collection of various taxes and fees from the State Government from citizens of Karnataka through its internet banking services.
Following the successful technical integration with RBI’s e-Kuber system and Khajane-2 platform, all customers of Karnataka Bank can seamlessly make payments of taxes and fees from various government departments through internet banking, under the Khajane-2 Integrated Financial System of the Government of Karnataka.
The statement quotes Raghavendra S Bhat, Managing Director and CEO of the bank: “The launch of Khajane-2 e-Receipt on January 14, 2026 marks a major milestone in our digital transformation. This initiative is designed to provide a secure, real-time and paperless receipt system, improving transparency, accountability and efficiency in government transactions. By reducing manual processes and simplifying receipt management, Khajane-2 e-Receipt will provide greater convenience to citizens and at the same time, the state’s digital payments ecosystem. We remain committed to supporting the Government of Karnataka in promoting transparent, technology-driven and citizen-centric public service delivery.”
