Here’s a round-up of the top Arsenal news, gossip and latest transfers from icfootballnews including Julian Alvarez, Gabriel Martinelli and Maldini Kacurri that you might have missed…

There have been some shocking media reports this weekend which now claim that Arsenal are ready to offer a player-plus-cash deal to sign Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez at the end of the season.

The Gunners spent a lot of money on signing Viktor Gyokeres last summer after the big forward proved to be one of the most dangerous strikers in world football, but his return of goals this season represents a poor return for a player. ARSENAL paid £64m last summer.

That has led to much media speculation that Arsenal are very interested in attempting to sign Alvarez for a reported £81 million, with many reports suggesting Madrid will be open to letting the striker leave the club.

And now it is claimed that Julian Alvarez is said to be unhappy at Atletico Madrid, with Arsenal plotting a player-plus-cash deal for the Argentine striker.

With Alvarez open to a move away from Atletico, TEAMtalk reports that Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli – who were both involved in the club’s 4-0 win at Leeds on Saturday afternoon – have been named as potential makeweights in a deal.

Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have also been gauged for interest, but the Gunners are keen to win every transfer race for the player, who celebrates his 26th birthday today.

The news comes after expert Gary Lineker suggested ARSENAL should chase Alvarez this summer and says his arrival in north London would be devastating for their domestic rivals: “They don’t really have anyone who is scoring the goals on a regular basis,” Lineker said on The Rest is Football podcast after Arsenal’s defeat to Manchester United.

“Gabriel Jesus has come back and scored one or two, but there was a reason why they had to sign a new number 9 in the first place.

‘I love Jesus and I always have. He has a great work ethic, he chases and chases and gets a few goals. He’s a bit streaky: when he’s on, he’s on, but when he’s off he’s a bit of a confident player.

‘It’s probably complete nonsense as most of these things are on social media, but I saw them linked to Julian Alvarez, who I know isn’t entirely happy with life at Atletico.

‘That’s the kind of player who you know can handle big events: he’s a World Cup winner for crying out loud. Such a person at Arsenal would be ‘game over’.

‘But they do need one or two of these current strikers to be able to score on a fairly regular basis.’

MARTINELLI WORKING TOWARDS EXIT?

Here’s the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumors as striker Gabriel Martinelli could reportedly make plans to leave and join a new club in the summer transfer window as the Gunners are reportedly ready to sell the forward.

Over the past few transfer windows, Mikel Arteta has been given the money to spend and sign players who have made a real difference to the side, so much so that he now has one of the best in Europe.

But with all those signings ARSENAL have made in the past few windows, this has meant that players like Martinelli have not been getting the playing time they would like, as Mikel Arteta has a number of players in the squad who also deserve to play.

Now the Fichajes website claims that very reliable sources claim that Gabriel Martinelli’s representatives are making plans for next season at another club, as there are reports that Arsenal are ready to let the star leave and replace him with Atletico Madrid star Julian AlvarezArsenal want to sign £87million ‘UNHAPPY’ star in a player-plus-cash transfer deal.

Martinelli was heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal in the summer window, with reports suggesting a move to Saudi Arabia was on the cards, but the Brazilian was not interested in that move at this stage of his career.

But – the likes of PSG, Juventus and Barcelona have also been mentioned as possible destinations for the Brazilian star, all of whom could see his £89million asking price reduced by the Gunners.

IcFootballnews says…

Martinelli could be one of the most exciting players to watch for Arsenal. His pace and skill can really cause defenders problems, but he also has the ability to have some really bad games and not make any impact.

The summer is still many months away, so everything can change between now and then, but if Martinelli decides he wants to leave the Gunners, we are sure there will be a number of players who can replace the Brazilian.

As we said, ARSENAL have reportedly already made a move to sign Alvarez, and he could be a fantastic addition to that offense.

COACH HAPPY WITH KACURRI DEAL

Grimsby head coach David Artell has opened up and revealed he is delighted with the signing of Madini Kacurri, who completed his move from Arsenal during the January transfer window.

The transfer window has been open for a few weeks now and there are a lot of transfer rumors about it ARSENAL and who they might acquire, but despite all the speculation, it was a pretty boring period for Gunners fans to witness.

There are more players who have left the club than have arrived, and with just a few days of the transfer window remaining, the Gunners are still working hard to sign a number of fringe players from the club before the deadline closes on Monday.

After signing his first professional contract with Arsenal in July 2024, Maldini made his senior debut for the Gunners in the EFL Cup and gained valuable first-team experience during loan spells at Bromley and Morecambe.

And Arsenal made the decision to let Kacurri leave the club on a permanent basis after Grimsby made the decision to sign the young defender from the Gunners, rather than take him back on loan.

And after getting his new player, Artell opened up and revealed his delight at the deal. He told the Grimsby website: “Maldini is a physically strong, impressive centre-back who will add real presence and resilience to our defense.

“He brings aggression, aerial dominance and the ability to compete at a high level, which is exactly what we need to strengthen the backline.

“In addition to his defensive qualities, he is a young player with huge potential, and we are excited about the energy, attitude and determination he will bring to the squad both on and off the pitch.”

GOOD MOVE FOR KACURRI TO MAKE?

At this stage of his career, the young man needs to play football more regularly, make a name for himself and build a long and successful football career, so this is the right move.

His dreams to play for ARSENAL Its over, now it’s time to make a name for yourself in the lower leagues and potentially work your way back into the Premier League in the coming seasons. He’s young enough and talented to do that.

But as we said, this step is suitable for everyone.
