Justin Landander does not seem ready to hang his baseball glove and quickly fluctuations.
The 42-year-old told the San Francisco standard that he has the desire to pitch next season.
Although Vermerland has had a successful career, which includes a World Series title at the Astros in 2017 and 2022, he has struggled this season.
“I mean, I would like it” Landlander told the outlet. “At this point in my career, if something really goes wrong, I will not rehabilitate any operation or something. I always understand that it could be, but I think I have shown good health physically this season. Because I have been on the hill, things started to get better and better.
Over the years, Landander has tackled a number of injury problems, so it is logical that he would add some health -related reservations to his comments about playing next season, and it is not necessarily shocking that he wants to compete in 2026, considering earlier comments in his mid -40s.
This season, Landander has an ERA of 4.53 and a 1-9 record and has not recorded his first victory until his 17th start of the year for a Giants team that does not go anywhere at 59-59.
He registered his 3,500th career-strikeout on Sunday and came closer to moving the ninth of all time on the Strikeout list.
Landander registered the record at home during the 8-0 loss of the Giants for the Nationals.
“I was happy to get there, happy to have a moment with the fans,” He told reporters. “Cool milestone. I really appreciate what it did to get there.”
