“First of all, what happened here? Is it something in your neck?”
It seemed Gaethje sensed the reporter’s tone was off, and he fired back.
“Have you ever heard of HIPPA? What’s wrong with you?”
The reporter initially did not understand what Gaethje was referring to.
“HIPPA? I don’t know,” the reporter said
Gaethje then painted a clearer picture for the reporter about the HIPPA laws.
“Yeah, don’t ask me about my body,” Gaethje said. “I’m not asking you about yours.”
The interview got going again when the reporter told Gaethje that he didn’t ask the question to bother half of the UFC 324 headliner.
“Okay, let me just check to see if everything is okay,” the reporter replied.
Gaethje then shifted his focus back to UFC 324.
“Everything is great,” Gaethje said. “I feel great. Ready to go, ready to go.” [expletive] Up Paddy.”
Whether the mark on Gaethje’s neck is something that will hinder the performance of “The Highlight” remains to be seen. Gaethje is in a big spot as he will headline the UFC’s debut event on Paramount+. Gaethje has competed in interim title fights before and has even captured interim gold in the past.
