Just mentioned! Rare mid-century retreat in Happy Valley – Living Room Realty

Yomari is the PDX house fairy.

Yomari grew up on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, surrounded by beaches, mountains, sun, color, music and delicious food. Her immense family (she has 30 nieces and nephews!) was always at someone’s house cooking and cooking. She remembers playing on her grandmother’s porch, hanging out in her aunts’ lively kitchens and dancing at family gatherings in the open, tiled garages. Her father designed and built her parental home. She was mixing cement and leveling cinder blocks before she was ten! She had no idea the enormous impact this would have on her future life. Her family made it clear: home is everything.

Fast forward a few decades and college degrees; While working as an oncology dietitian in Florida, Yomari purchased her first home after an extensive, self-guided search among the beautiful Spanish and Mediterranean style homes of Miami Shores, and realized she was in the wrong profession. By then, she had been visiting the Pacific Northwest for years with her husband, who grew up in Port Townsend, Washington, and was in love with the atmosphere, mountains, people and architecture of this side of the country. So after moving her family from Miami to Oregon, she decided it was time to follow her calling and become a licensed real estate agent, founded Yomari Loves Houses and became The PDX House Fairy. Here’s what she learned about herself and being an effective real estate agent:

  • That a real estate transaction is not just about numbers and negotiations; it is not just a business transaction. A real estate transaction involves people; their goals, their wants and their needs. It’s over AT HOME.
  • That customer relationships in real estate are a PARTNERSHIPand they should be PERSONAL. Understanding that the process can be emotional and stressful for clients is critical. Yomari sees it as her job to be there for her clients when they have concerns or worries and to take the stress away from them.
  • Those real estate transactions must have a HONESTLY affair. Customers need to feel that the process is transparent and that their agent is working for them with integrity.
  • That selling and buying real estate should be a positive experience. Yomari wants her clients to remember when they bought or sold a house SIMPLE And PLEASURE life event.
  • That it is important to approach real estate as you approach life; of ENERGY, PASSION, AMBITION and KINDNESS.
  • That she is good at what she does, because she really is LOVES being a cop. She dreams of houses, interiors, architecture and gardens, and the customers that come with them.

Yomari lives in a dreamy old lady from Portland, a 1900s farmhouse in Montavilla that she and her husband bought in 2017. It takes a lot of work, but they love it. She is the mother of two wonderful children, three dogs and two cats. She probably bores most of the people she knows when they talk about houses. She dreams of owning a small apartment in New York City. In her personal time, Yomari enjoys cooking, gardening, eating good food and drinking good wine, listening to true crime podcasts, watching a good TV show, walking her dogs, camping in her RV with her family, and when time permits, traveling to another city to explore, and EAT!

She would be honored to be your partner in buying or selling your home.
