JUDE BELLINGHAM has addressed reports of a rift between himself and Xabi Alonso after the Real Madrid boss was sacked.
Alonso, 44, left on Monday after just 34 games in charge, with Bellingham claiming to have been one of the senior players who did not accept his management.
Following suggestions in The Athletic and ESPN that Bellingham was opposing Alonso and his ideas (along with Vinicius Jr and Federico Valverde), the 22-year-old has spoken out.
In a statement on his JB5 app, Bellingham said: “Until now I have let far too many of these things slide, always hoping that the truth will come to light in its own time.
“But honestly… What nonsense. Really feel sorry for the people who hang on to every word from these clowns and their ‘sources.’
“Don’t believe everything you read, every now and then these people need to be held accountable for spreading this kind of harmful misinformation for clicks and extra controversy.”

Bellingham played 29 times for the former Bayer Leverkusen head coach, scoring six times and assisting five times.
With it widely said that Alonso did not have the full support of the Madrid squad as early as November, Bellingham is among those facing criticism and speculation.
The Athletic say a rift emerged in the dressing room with Kylian Mbappe, Arda Guler, Aurelien Tchouameni, Dani Ceballos and Raul Asencio all in Alonso’s camp.
Mbappe, who has been in rich form under Alonso, was the first to thank him online.
He wrote: “It was short, but it was a pleasure to play for you and learn from you.
“Thank you for trusting me from day 1.
“I will remember you as a manager who had clear ideas and knew a lot about football.
“Good luck with your next chapter.”
Alonso himself came out and said: “This professional phase is over and it didn’t go the way we wanted.
“Coaching Real Madrid has been an honor and a responsibility.
“I thank the club, the players and especially the Madrid fans for their trust and support.
“I leave with respect, gratitude and pride that I did my best.”
Bellingham missed the start of the season due to injury as Madrid won their first four league games, scoring eight and conceding just two.
After returning to fitness, he was almost always present for Los Blancos.
