The Road Transport Department (JPJ) says that there is an increase of 53% in Competent Driving License (CDL) renovations throughout the country from 27 September, five days after the announcement of the Budi Madani Ron 95 (Budi95) targeted subsidy program was made on 22 September. A valid driver’s license is part of the conditions.
According to JPJ director-General Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli, the average daily CDL renewal was before the announcement was around 17,000 transactions, but jumped to 26,000 a day after the announcement was made, such as, such as Declared Reports.
He said that data showed that 23,125 transactions were registered on September 23, and rose somewhat by 0.15% to 23,160 on 24 September. “The number then strongly by 45.6% to 33,714 transactions on 25 September, via JPJs existing channels and strategic partners such as Pos Malaysia and Myeg,” he said.

All Malaysian citizens with valid driving permits are eligible for subsidized RON 95 -Benzine – priced on RM1.99 per liter – under the Budi95 program, which will start for the public from tomorrow. In addition to CDL holders, those with a provisional (P) or Leerner’s Driving License (L) also qualify for the subsidy.
