Nottingham Forest made the decision to sack Ange Postecoglou after just eight games in charge.
The dismissal came shortly after the 3-0 home defeat to Chelsea earlier today, Nottingham Forest’s eighth consecutive defeat under the Australian.
The dreadful run was the worst by a Nottingham Forest manager in a century and the pressure on the former Spurs man continued to mount. The pressure was evident when Ange exploded into a tirade against the press before the match.
Rumors suggested that a defeat to Enzo Maresca’s side could result in an immediate dismissal and that is exactly what happened at the City Ground.

According to The daily briefingAnge was dismissed just ten minutes after the whistle.
Evangelos Marinakis was seen frustrated in the stands and after losing by two goals, he disappeared from his seat.

And TNT Sports reporter Jules Breach gave their viewers a detailed insight into the aftermath of the looting. She revealed how the Forest players were taken to the dressing room and then into the boardroom.
And while Postecoglou was in the locker room with the players, as soon as the players came out to go to the boardroom, Ange went the other way.
She said:
“After the interview, Morgan Gibbs-White was taken to the dressing room with the players and then they were all taken to the boardroom where I imagine a long meeting will now take place.
“To be clear, from what we saw in the tunnel, prior to that interview, Ange Postecoglou went into the locker room, spoke to his players, but then actually went to the other side of the tunnel area.
“We saw him come out and Edu was also in the hallway at the time. Ange Postecoglou left with a bag on his back and walked towards the parking lot. At that moment it seemed like there was a writing on the wall.
“As far as we know, Ange Postecoglou has left the stadium, or at least he is not in the tunnel area. That is the last I can bring you.”

Who could replace Ange Postecoglou at Nottingham Forest?
Sean Dyche is someone Forest have contacted for the job, as reported by insider Indy Kaila.
Another name linked to Nottingham Forest was former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, but he is not expected to leave Celtic until the end of the summer.
The owner has let himself down and many believe he is responsible for the collapse of Nottingham Forest.
They were incredible under Nuno last season, with the Portuguese manager taking them to a seventh-place finish and Europa League qualification.
That hasty call destabilized the club. Forest have now had two managers in less than three months, losing any sense of identity or direction.
Marinakis must get this next appointment right and, more importantly, give the new manager time to rebuild confidence and stability, both on and off the pitch.
