Joshua Van reveals he hasn’t changed anything for his UFC title fight camp: “We haven’t brought in any new people”

UFC flyweight title contender Joshua Van has said he hasn’t done much different during his training camp for the biggest fight of his career at UFC 323.

In the co-main event of UFC 323, young Joshua Van gets the chance to prove he is the best flyweight in the world. He has that opportunity because he will face UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja, one of the best to ever hold the title at 125 pounds. It’s a huge moment in both men’s careers, as Pantoja attempts to continue climbing the ‘flyweight GOAT’ ladder – even though it will be incredibly difficult for him to catch Demetrious Johnson.

Joshua Van burst onto the scene in a short period of time and it didn’t take long for fans and pundits alike to start realizing how talented this man was. He’s only gotten better since then, and while Van himself has said he doesn’t want this to become an “old versus young” storyline, it’s hard not to compare and contrast the two men’s experience levels, especially at the championship level.

In one recent interviewJoshua Van said the following when asked what he has done differently in this camp.

Joshua Van discusses the UFC title fight camp

“We haven’t brought in any new people. I’m the type of guy who likes to focus on what I’m good at. I feel like a lot of people make a mistake there, focusing on what he’s really good at and completely avoiding what they’re good at. I’m not going to make the same mistake. I’m working on what I’m really good at and still working on the ground game. On December 6, we’re going to find out who’s the better man.”
