Joshua “The Passion” Pacio could not hide his pride from seeing Denice Zamboanga writing for the Philippines. The only straw MMA world champion witnessed his countryman’s journey due to injuries and setbacks before she captures the first female MMA world title of the Nation.

“I was really happy when she was promoted to undisputed world champion because it was discussed for a long time. God’s timing is always perfect. She is now a world champion, a female world champion in that. Boys are of course not the only ones in it. Female Filipino fighters can also win gold in one championship,” Pacio said.

“To be honest, that’s what we miss here in the Philippines. We don’t have many female hunters. So I am really happy because there is now a female MMA world champion in one championship. It is a great motivation for other female athletes who want to conquer a one world title.”
