Schotboxing champion Josh Taylor has branded Ricky Hatton’s “Absolute Held” after the death of the sporting icon.

Hatton, nicknamed the Hitman, was found tragic this morning at the age of 46.

The sports world was thrown into mourning after he heard that the four -time world champion died.

Dozens of tribute were paid to the late fighter, who after a great career received an MBE for services to the sport that spanned itself from 1997 to 2012.

Among them was Scots World Champ Taylor – also known as the Tartan Tornado.

In a sincere post on X, the hunter said that Ricky Hatton was the reason he came in boxing and said he “absolutely loved his style”.

Josh Taylor said: “Deep shocked and sad to hear the news today.

“He was my absolute hero and the reason I started boxing.

“Absolutely of his style. And whatever a character, pure entertainment.

“He is a total legend in all sense of the word.

‘Deepest participation in him and his family.

“Rest in Peace Ricky Hatton.”

The entire city of Manchester was in mourning for the loss of their residential plate legend.

Destroyed fans lay flowers and sincere tribute doors outside his house.

Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Amir Khan and Piers Morgan all led the genuine messages to one of the greatest hunters ever in Great Britain.

Hatton, a lifelong fan of Man City, was honored in a moving tribute by his favorite team for the Manchester Derby.

Both sets players wore black bracelets for the game.

Pep Guardiola manager was close to tears for a minute of applause.

The club brought their own tribute to one of their most legendary and “most loved” fans.

A statement from the club was: “Manchester City has been destroyed to hear that Ricky Hatton has died, 46 years old.

“Ricky was one of the most loved and respected supporters of City, who will always be remembered for a shimmering boxing career who saw him win world titles in welterweight and light-belgian.

“Everyone at the club would like to send our sincere condolences to his family and friends in this difficult time.

“We can confirm that there will be a minute of rating prior to today’s game against Manchester United.”

Just a few weeks before his death, Ricky Hatton planned a sensational return to boxing.

The announcement came when Fellow Manchester -icons and his close friends Liam and Noel Gallagher took the stage in Cardiff to start their sensational reunion tour.

He was motivated by their epic return and announced his own return to boxing.

In a heartbreaking interview with Sunsport, he emphasized how he was inspired to return after he had come in shape three years ago for a fight.

Ricky said: “It inspired many people, you know, for me to get back in shape at the age where I am.

“It was nice for so many people to come to me and go:” Oh, I always struggled with my weight and to see that you get it at your age. “

The armed forces said: “Officers were called by a member of the public to attend an address in Hyde, Tameside, today at 6.45 am where they found the body of a 46-year-old man.

“It is currently not considered suspicious circumstances.”
