Mitchell Starc is now a two-stormat player, but that is not the case with Josh Hazlewood, 34, and Pat Cummins, 32. Cummins and Hazlewood are available as players with all formats, but may not play all games as a result of the age factor and workload management.

Hazlewood is a pretty injury-sensitive bowler and has missed a lot of action in recent years because of his fitness issues. On the other hand, Cummins currently has to deal with a lumbar bone stress injury and is very doubtful for the start of the Ashes 2025-26.

I think we still have a few games left in us – Josh Hazlewood

Some rumors suggested that the upcoming axis could be the last time that Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and Pat Cummins would be seen together in action.

Hazelwood, however, closed the rumors and stated that everyone still likes test cricket and looks forward to being involved in the Red-Ball format for at least the next two years.

“I don’t think we are in a position to say something now, but I think you can lean back and think about it at the end,” Hazlewood said by Sen Radio.

“I think everyone still likes the format of test cricket. There are many tests in the next two years. There is still a cycle of the world test championship, so there are still many things exciting in test cricket, not only the ashes. I think we have a few more games left in us,” Hazlewood added.

We have good shield -bowlers in every state – Hazlewood

Australia is perhaps the most successful in Cricket, but life after Cummins, Hazlewood and Starc does not look very much, because the next generation of Pacers did not look very impressive.

However, Josh Hazlewood thinks differently. The Aussie Pacer believes that there are very good young speedsters in the country, and there will never be a shortage of fast bowlers in Australia.

“I probably don’t want to mention names, but I think that a lot has come through the White-Ball system in recent years. We have good Shield-Bowlers in every state, and I think it’s just a matter of opportunities if they get their chance in test colors.

“In that format I think they will do great, so there is never a shortage of fast bowlers in Australia, I don’t think,” he added.
