Jordan Ott offers huge injury boost for suns from training camp

The Phoenix Suns went directly from their media day to training camp prior to a preseason to Macau, and the vibes have been high around the practice facility. Rookie Kaman Maluach brought the energy early – as well as a unique nickname – while Dillon Brooks already has a bad guy in the building with him.

But if you pay attention to the content that the franchise has postponed on social media – and you better believe it was all approved before it goes somewhere – then you would have noticed that one of the new recruits of the low season was not seen on the field. That would be Mark Williams Center, the often damaged big man who came from the Charlotte Hornets.

Jordan Ott confirms that Williams was not injured in huge boost.

Of course on the second day of camp head coach Jordan Ott was asked about the absence of Williams of the court – although he was present on Mediadag – and the answer was excellent for the valley. At least on the surface, as coach Ott confirmed Duane Rankin by The Republic of Arizona That Williams is not currently injured.

Case closed right? Not exactly, because Ott really had to be forced by Rankin to confirm whether Williams was injured or not, and he didn’t seem to say it at ease either. It is easy to sit at home and to analyze the formulation and facial expressions of someone time and time again, but there was a feeling of unease of Ott when Williams came up.

Compare that with moments earlier, when you could literally see the fire and the excitement in his eyes when he spoke about how competitive scrimmage had been. Ott was also deliberately in his terms by revealing that Williams had done a lot of work throughout the summer and that he had done great strength and mobility work.

That all sounds great – only when it comes to a 23 -year -old with the injury history that Williams already has – it is not nearly that encouraging. What it actually sounds like is a player who will blade his way back due to injury, who claims Ott again, does not happen. The regular season is a month away, and the Suns would certainly prefer that their center is a defensive presence and does not extend.

Perhaps the biggest giveaway action that this update – which is still brilliant when it is taken at nominal value – is not what it seemed when Ott said that the first day of the camp was about their principles of setting both ends of the court. Day two had a little bit of action before they go on scrimmage.

If Williams wasn’t even on the field when they were probably walking through plays or concepts – at a time when there was no real action – it is difficult not to worry about what that could mean that it is progressing. We choose to believe that Williams is on track to appear in the camp soon, but it is now a lot of an eye on this space.
