Although UFC frontman White is adamant about keeping Jones out of what is expected to be the promotion’s biggest event, Jones is not giving up.
“I think my most immediate goal is to try to be on the White House map,” Jones said of what comes next No Scripts Podcast. “I give Dana his space. Dana changed my life. He changed my life. He changed the lives of my children. I am forever grateful to him.”
“We had a verbal agreement that didn’t go over well. Nothing was finalized yet. But I was wrong. The way it went, I was wrong.”
Aside from multiple legal issues that have plagued Jones over the years, the most recent incident that seems to bother White was his refusal to fight current champion Tom Aspinall.
“I wish I could see him in person and apologize to him so we can move on from the past and get back to making big money for the sport and really entertaining these fans,” Jones added.
