UFC legend Jon Jones has suggested that his upcoming coaching fight with Daniel Cormier could lead to the two striking up a brand new friendship.
Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier have been bitter enemies for a long time. The two have competed against each other twice in mixed martial arts, with Jones coming out on top both times. Of course, it’s been many years since the two faced off, and this latest venture that will see them coach opposite each other in Season 3 of ALF Global’s ‘Alf Reality’ series – could very well lead to some sort of third meeting, perhaps in a wrestling or grappling setting.
Jon Jones is a controversial figure and we all know this to be the case, while Cormier has always stayed pretty true to his beliefs when it comes to his opinion on ‘Bones’. Whatever bad blood they had in the past, it will certainly be interesting to see how they handle this latest clash.
In a recent interview, Jon Jones said the following about the future between them.
Jon Jones discusses his relationship with Daniel Cormier
“I think it would be great to have Daniel Cormier be part of this show,” Jones told sport24_ru (h/t Red Corner MMA). “Obviously he and I have a difficult history. I know he doesn’t like me that much.
“We’ve beaten him twice, but I think him coming to Thailand and filming with me would be a great opportunity for us to repair this strained relationship. But I have no problem with him. I think him coming here would at least give us the opportunity to maybe start a friendship.”

Could the two make a U-turn? Only time will tell, but one thing we know for sure is that their rivalry will live on long after both men are gone.
