The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (“ITA”) Competition Division is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager of Division II, III, NAIA, JUCO and men’s and women’s wheelchair tennis
The Manager of Division II, III, NAIA, JUCO and Men’s and Women’s Wheelchair Tennis will:
- Report to the ITA COO
- Work in a cross-functional capacity with the ITA Administrative Department, ITA Membership Department, ITA Coach Education Department and the ITA Communications, Marketing & Advanced Media Department on the day-to-day organizational activities and execution of the ITA’s strategic vision
Responsibilities include:
- MEMBERSHIP
- Provide telephone and email support to ITA Division II, III, NAIA, JUCO and wheelchair membership programs on all competitive matters relating to ITA Division II, III, NAIA, JUCO and wheelchair tennis
- CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Oversees the administration of the following ITA Championships:
- ITA Small College Regionals
- ITA Division II Individual Championships
- ITA cup
- ITA Division II National Men’s and Women’s Indoor Team Championships
- ITA Division III National Men’s and Women’s Indoor Team Championships
- ITA NAIA National Indoor Team Championships
- ITA Wheelchair Championships
- ITA Division II, III, NAIA, JUCO and wheelchair sanctioned events
- Oversees the administration of the following ITA Championships:
- ENTRY RESULTS & RANKINGS
- Oversee the collection of results for Division II, III, NAIA, JUCO, and men’s and women’s wheelchair tournaments and dual match results
- Manage and oversee the ITA Division II, III, NAIA, JUCO and Wheelchair Team and Individual Ranking Program
- LINES
- Assist in enforcing regulations regarding ITA Division II, III, NAIA, JUCO, and wheelchair membership programs
- PRICES
- Manage and oversee the ITA Division II, III, NAIA, JUCO and Wheelchair Competitive Awards program
- MANAGEMENT
- Oversee coach board administration at the ITA Division II, Division III, NAIA, JUCO and Wheelchair Operating Committee levels.
- GOVERNING BODIES
- Serve as the primary liaison between the ITA and the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and conference offices on matters related to college tennis.
- OTHER DUTIES as assigned by the ITA CEO or the ITA COO
Qualifications and required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Preferably at least two years of experience in sports management
- Good understanding and experience of college tennis preferred
- Strong tennis interest is preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with Google applications
- Tournament administrative experience and work experience using tournament management software is preferred
- The applicant must be a detail-oriented self-starter, possess the ability to multitask and have the dedication to complete assigned projects, be comfortable working in time-sensitive, high-pressure situations, and have good interpersonal skills.
Additional information:
- Salary range of $55,000 – $60,000
- Position works remotely
- Position reports to the ITA COO
- The position requires moderate travel throughout the year for championships and events. Most trips were concentrated in the months of October, November and February.
- The position is full-time and the employee is eligible for medical, dental, retirement and life insurance benefits.
