Legendary advertising executive turned property developer John Singleton has seen rapid sales after ramping up marketing of his latest Central Coast project, 16 luxury apartments on the Caroline Bay waterfront.
The East Gosford project, 49Caroline, is being developed in partnership with Trevor Loewensohn-led financier Alceon.
The apartments, now priced between $2,295,000 and $8,995,000, will be a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.
The waterfront complex, designed by Mosman-based architect Enrique Blanco de Cordova of deBlanco Studio, is located on a 2955 m² Caroline St holding. John Deiri’s construction company JDC Property is building the project with a completion schedule of late 2027.

Gittoes agents Stephen Gittoes and Richard Faulkner are marketing the project as “shaped by an architectural philosophy that balances timeless elegance with contemporary coastal living.” There have already been three apartments exchanged, one of which is still offered. “The research was fantastic,” Gittoes said.
“When John builds something, he does it well.”
The John Singleton Group’s first project was Bonython Tower, completed in 2019 in Gosford.
The most recent resale at the 14-story complex was $550,000 for a one-bedroom apartment, which first sold in 2017 for $462,000.
A two-bedroom apartment sold for $700,000 last October, after first selling for $652,800.
Bonython Tower’s original luxury penthouses set suburban records when they sold for more than $1.6 million.
Recently, the district saw a $7 million penthouse sale at the Alceon-completed Rumbalara Residences.

Ravello, on the old Monti’s Ashore Fish & Chips site in Port Frederick, was Singleton’s second development.
He sold one of three penthouses overlooking Brisbane Water under the plan in 2019 for $2.7 million, a then-record price for the area.
The nine-storey Ravello on Masons Parade has seen more recent sales of up to $3.5 million. “I left it a little late to become a property developer,” Singleton told The Daily Telegraph in early 2020.

“But I could bankrupt Harry Triguboff.”
While news.com.au reported this week that Singleton was recovering from a recent heart attack, his next project in the pipeline is The Lodge, a luxury ’10-star’ lodge and restaurant complex on the Pacific Highway at Mount White, designed to complement his existing Saddles restaurant.

The Lodge will offer pavilion style accommodation with 20 rooms.
Singleton, one of Australia’s best-known advertising entrepreneurs, co-founded SPASM in the late 1960s.
