John Calipari already has the Arkansas Razorbacks that look like a team to watch the basketball season of 2025-26. After leaving the Kentucky Wildcatsbaan to add to Arkansas last season, Calipari did not waste time to turn the program.
During the 2024-25 campaign he went Razorbacks 22-14. Calipari led them to the NCAA tournament, where they were a no. 10 seed.
Arkansas not only made the tournament, but the team also made some noise.
In the first round the razorbacks defeated the no. 7 Seed Kansas Jayhawks. They supported that by a huge upset in round two over Rick Pitino and the number 2 sowed to pull St. John’s Red Storm.
Unfortunately, the season of Calipari and Arkansas is over. They lost in the Sweet 16 to no. 3 Seed Texas Tech with a final score of 85-83. Despite the loss, the program has compiled a huge general victory to start the term of office of Calipari.
To take the next step, the razorbacks must continue to add talent. Calipari apparently has his eyes aimed at the brother of Duke Blue Devils star Knueppel, who is expected to be a top 10 choice in the next 2025 NBA design.

Knueppel is a small prospect in the recruitment class 2027. He has not received much hype, but his brother has opened some eyes for what the family can do on the field.
At the moment there is no ranking or star figure for the younger Knueppel. However, Calipari and the Razorbacks are interested and his name will probably continue to rise in the coming weeks and months.
