Joe Rogan is really impressed by the evolution of Dricus du Plessis.
Driving in UFC 319 on an undefeated line with nine fights in the Achthoek, ‘DDP’ will set its middleweight title against the designated Boogeyman of the Division, Khamzat Chimaev, in the long -awaited headliner of the evening.
Hosting former UFC title holder Matt Serra on his popular podcast, De Joe Rogan experienceThe old UFC color commentator offered his opinion about the journey of Du Plessis from a chances of Sus Cardio, with Sus Cardio, to a world champion.
“There are boys who reach this level of discipline and achieve a level of cardiovascular performance that are just above everyone, and then they maintain it,” said Rogan. “As if they get that advantage and they keep pushing and they keep adding it slowly … I think Dricus is a kind of similar kind of man. I think guy works so hard that he can go outside and full explosion can fight, which is strange to see him fight.
“He looks like he’s breathing in the mouth, but he just keeps the same … those were many of the earlier fights before he got his nose to repair. So he got his nose solved so that he could breathe out of his nose. Everything changed. That is when he crushed Whittaker. If the Whittaker I was all shocking. Because we all know how sustainable is.”
Du plessis can hold its own on the mat
Although ‘Stillnocks’ is perhaps best known for his impressive knockout power and willingness to stand and act with everyone, Serra made it a point to remind everyone that Du Plessis is an accomplished grappler – something that can come in handy when he comes in handy in all MMA in MMA, Come Fight Night.
“Judo in five years old, struggling at twelve; it is not as if he is not a grappler,” Serra added. “Everyone is just so used to throwing his bombs and his stairs.”

Chimaev and Du Plessis both go to UFC 319 with undefeated records in the Octagon And a combined finish of 91%.
