According to the police, a girl was attacked with gasoline by four non -mischievous persons in Jharkhand’s Ranchi on Saturday afternoon. The incident took place in the afternoon, around 1 p.m., in the home of the victim in the village of Tendartola, located under the jurisdiction of the police station of Kane.
Police officials said four people entered the house and petrol on the girl poured before they fled the stage. The victim was immediately taken by her family members to the Kashyap Memorial Hospital.
First reports suggested a possible acid attack, but a medical examination confirmed that gasoline was used.
According to hospital staff, the girl was injured in her eyes, with damage limited to the outer layer of the cornea. Doctors stated that the substance was deleted and that full recovery is expected within a day or two.
Ranchi SSP and Dig Chandan Sinha, in a telephone conversation with AAJ Tak, the current sister website of India, confirmed that the attack was not sour.
“She sustained an eye injury and was admitted to the Kashyap Memorial Hospital. She has since been fired after treatment,” Sinha said.
He added that the injuries were not serious and that he personally supervises the investigation. He assured that arrests would be made at the earliest.
In the meantime, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has instructed the Ranchi police to investigate the case and to guarantee the immediate arrest of the suspect. In a post on X he also asked civil servants to offer the right medical care to the victim and to keep him informed of developments.
“Investigate the case and care for the immediate arrest of the suspect, then aware. Also offer better medical provisions to the daughter and inform accordingly. Minister Irfan Ansari Ji, note,” wrote the Chief Minister, wrote the Ranchi Police, deputy commissioner and Minister of Public Health Ansari.
Minister of Health Irfan Ansari later in another position on X confirmed that he had spoken with the district administration and that the girl had been fired and was in a stable state. He stated that the first findings confirmed the use of gasoline and commissioned civil servants to conduct a thorough investigation and to guarantee fast arrests.
“According to my conversation with the doctors, the initial investigation did not confirm an acid attack. I have ordered the administration to thoroughly investigate the case and to guarantee the immediate arrest of the perpetrators. Ensuring justice for the daughter is our priority,” Ansari wrote in response to the post of the Chief Minister.
BJP Jharkhand -President Babulal Marandi also issued a statement and called the incident seriously and urged the state governance to take appropriate legal steps against the controller.
The police said that an investigation is underway and that all possible corners, including personal motives, are being investigated because the girl would get married soon.
