Colorado Springs, Colo. – nicknamed “The naughty: The Trosblemaker,” Jennifer Lozano has made a career by taking on the frontal challenges. From bullied as a child in Laredo, Texas, to representing Team USA on the international boxing phase, Lozano has never withdrawn from a fight – inside or outside the ring.
Now the 2024 Olympian and 2023 Pan American Games Silver Medailists focused on its next challenge: compete in the Inaugural World Boxing Championshipsset for 4-14 September in the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.
From bullying to boxing greatness
Lozano credits her boxing trip to her childhood in Texas, where bullies pushed her to learn self -defense. That resilience has supported her by both setbacks and triumphs.
“On the way to the world championships in Liverpool, I feel great,” said Lozano. “I have never been so focused since the Olympic Games. I have trained hard, sacrificing and I am ready to go outside and perform.”
A year of growth and determination
In 2025, Lozano participated in three international tournaments and earned the stage stage twice. Those experiences, combined with setbacks, have fueled her hunger for improvement.
“The biggest lesson I have learned so far cannot be given up and just trust the process,” she explained. “These setbacks will be worth it if it matters the most, namely the world championships.”
Proud of family, culture and community
Pride Mexican AmericanLozano sees her career as a way to inspire more than just herself. She fights for her family, her coaches and her Laredo community, who have been all in her corner for day one.
“This time I am a different person, mental, emotional and physical. I have been aged since the Olympic Games,” she said. “I look forward to representing my skills, my hard work and not only my country, but also representing my city.”
On the way to Liverpool
Lozano comes the 51 kg weight class Tournament with proven references:
- 2023 Pan American Games Silver medal winner (qualified for Paris 2024 Olympic Games)

Her path to gold will be revealed during the official bracket draw of the tournament on 3 September. Team USA will be 14 boxers at the field fields event, with every match live on the World Boxing YouTube channel.
