It has been a long and controversial road for Gmax.
After the DOJ releases a trove of 300,000 documents, journalists around the world will be sifting through the material, and for a long time we will see different stories emerge from this effort.
One of the most obvious features of this Epstein data dump – or any other – is the ubiquitous presence of disgraced socialite and convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell.
After meeting Epstein following the mysterious death of her father, British newspaper magnate Robert Maxwell, Ghislaine is seen on a journey from romantic moments in Italy to silly photos showing everyone around her massaging Epstein’s foot.
While this selection of photographs is far from exhaustive, it does provide a progression in behavior that is telling.
The first photos are far from controversial: Maxwell with Epstein on a plane, kissing him as they travel through Europe.
But soon things get more tense and what we see in Maxwell’s face is deeply disturbing.
As she grows older, she is no longer the focus of Epstein’s “love” interest.
So it’s about power.
An entire story could be made from photos of Maxwell and former President Bill Clinton.
And finally, we see the end result of the transformation: Maxwell flashes her chest in all directions around her as she massages Epstein’s foot.
When she decided to leave him and get her life back on track, it was too late.
