Jaipur Open starts at Rambagh on Tuesday with a quality field

A full roster from the Professional Golf Tour of India rankings will line up for the Jaipur Open at the Rambagh Golf Club from Tuesday with a lot at stake.

Presenting partner for the Rs 1 crore event is sports development company Victorious Choice, and is powered by Shubhashish Homes.

The field of 126 professionals includes merit list leaders Yuvraj Sandhu, Shaurya Bhattacharya, Arjun Prasad, Veer Ahlawat and Manu Gandas.

Prominent overseas entries include Jamal Hossain, Badal Hossain, Md Akbar Hossain and Md Somrat Sikdar from Bangladesh, Czech Stepan Danek and Italy’s Federico Zucchetti.

Jaipur-based professionals in the field include Prakhar Asawa, Vishal Singh, Girraj Singh Khadka, Abhyudaya Rawat, Rishi Raj Singh Rathore and Hemendra Choudhary.

Skilled leadership

Rambagh GC, Rajasthan’s premier golf venue, is a challenging 6,303 meter par 70 championship course, strategically designed on sandy loam soil.

The Pro-Am on Sunday was won by the team led by professional Shamim Khan with a net score of 52.6 and included amateurs Rajendra Jakhar, Shankar Prashar and Ankur Thakur.
