Tata property Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is to lower 500 management jobs in Great Britain in the aftermath of American rates and a profit. On July 7, the car manufacturer revealed that the retail trade had fallen in three months to 30 June, 2025 by 15.1% and the turnover of the wholesaler fell by 10.7% on an annual basis. This largely reflects the planned outcome of Legacy Jaguar models, prior to the launch of New Jaguar, and a break in shipments to the US in April 2025, after the introduction of American import tariffs, JLR said. The car manufacturer has largely stopped selling his Jaguar vehicles while it is launching the brand again before he unveils a new portfolio of luxury electric cars.It stood for a public recoil about his controversial rebrand last year after it had released a video with models and no cars, which led to the spot of Elon Musk and criticism from Nigel Farage who called it ‘Wakker’.In March, US President Donald Trump announced that the British car export to the US was dealing with an extra tax of 25%, on top of an existing tax of 2.5%. This led to JLR pausing shipments from his vehicles to the US in April. The defender, made in Slovakia, still stands for a rate of 27.5%.A JLR spokesman said to TOI: “We often offer eligible employees voluntary redundancy, so this is no different than normal practice. These job losses are specific to the UK and will affect a maximum of 500 management roles, which is only 1.5% of our British activities. Through this limited program for managers, the new UK company is the £ 35-company, which we have the £ 3.5-year-old. To realize our strategy that delivers.“
