The Bewers achieved their NLDs a huge start with today’s 9-3 victory over the Cubs in Game 1, with all nine points in the first two innings. Unfortunately the game was a considerable injury for Milwaukee, as an outfielder Jackson Chouio On the left during the second inning with what the team described as the tightness of the right hamstring.
Chouio gathered his third hit of the two-after eruption when he hit a ball deep in the third basehole and then hit the pitch for an RBI single. Unfortunately Chouio came up the game, and Isaac Collins Chouio replaced as a pinch runner and then in the left field before the start of the next inning.
Spend against Mlb.com’s Adam McCalvy And other reporters after the competition, Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that Chouio underwent an MRI at the time of the media session, and more would be known if the tests are completed. The care is real, as Murphy said: “OBiasious is the very scary that has that hamstring injury on the same leg. We hope it is something he can come back soon … It can be devastating.“
In a more positive note, Chouio said McCalvy And company that the removal was more precautions in nature. ‘We still wait [on MRI results]. But physically I feel good, and I feel like I’m in a position where I am ready to continue and ready to continue to compete“Said the outfielder.
The previous straight hamstring problem that Murphy referred to was a species that held Chouio in front of the injured list for a month this summer, so he kept almost August on the injured list. Chouio struck alone .240/.293/.413 in 117 plate performances after returning from the IL, after beating .276/.311/.474 with 17 home runs in 472 PA prior to his hamstring tribe. The outfielder was also more active on the Basepaths (18 bases stealing in 25 attempts) pre-injury, while he stole three bases in as many attempts as soon as his return. To be honest, this could also have been a tactical decision, because the Brewers were rising to a play -off berth in September and Chouio saw less need to press.
Assuming that the MRI reveals nothing serious, Chouio could benefit from the nature of the NLDS schedule. Game 2 only Monday, and then there is another off-day before matches 3-4 in Chicago on Wednesday and Thursday. Sitting Chouio alone for game 2 could be a hit for the line -up of the Brewers, but the team could see it as a necessary evil to release Chouio for three full days to let his hamstring rest. This of course assumes that Chouio feels good enough to perhaps try to play in game 2 after just one day off.
In the worst-case scenario of a injury removal in the Middle series, the Brewers Chouio on the Roster could replace. However, that would mean that Chouio should be the NLCs if Milwaukee would progress. That means that the Brewers do not want to make a drastic call on Chouio, unless it is absolutely necessary, so there is some added drama to what seemed a pretty stable crew line -Up on the way to the play -offs.
