Jack Grealishe immediately had an impact on full debut for Everton while defeating Brighton in the first Premier League match in the Hill Dickins Stadium.
The winger came on loan this summer from Manchester City as one of the tent recognitions of the Toffees, and if his first start is something, he will enjoy his time on Merseyside.
Grealish was released by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall along the left flank before he flashed in a cross for Iliman Ndiaye, who hit the ball in the net for the opening goal after 22 minutes.
The 29-year-old then founded James Garner, all of whom sealed the points for Everton with a pounding finish from outside the area in the second half to give the men of David Moyes their first victory of the season.
Jack Grealisk is celebrating ‘Huge’ first start for Everton
“It was huge,” Grealisk told Sky Sports after the full -time whistle. “First game in the new stadium and we wanted to set up a show for the supporters. Very happy to win the victory.
“It’s huge. I loved my time in Man City and I had a big four years there and won many things. As soon as I spoke with David Moyes in Facetime, I wanted to come here and show today why.
‘I said yesterday that the manager had not played us [Ndiaye] Together in training. Today is the first time. “
Ndiaye believes that he and Grealisk could form a ‘great’ partnership this season after they first connected to a football field.
“Jack is a great player, we all know that,” said the attacker. “He helped me for the first goal and the second goal. It can be very good this season.”
Moyes added that the pair of “flair and quality” can bring to the team when they play together.
“We will see how they play and whether their versions are good,” he said. “Jack has a few assists today and Iliman has a goal. We have to score more goals. One thing I don’t want to lose is the mind on the field. We want more flair and quality.”
