International Workplace Group has opened a new flexible office in Fremantle and will expand to Subiaco towards the end of the year.
Spaces Fremantle comprises 650 square meters from a restored heritage building with two floors at 135 High St.
It offers a mix of premium co-working spaces, private offices, meeting rooms and creative zones.
“The owners of buildings decided to invest in the international workplace group platform to maximize the return on their real estate space by taking advantage of the rapidly growing demand for hybrid work,” said the workspace provider in a statement.
The office focuses on a series of industries, including legal, logistics, defense, construction and design.
IWG Chief Executive and founder Mark Dixon said that IWG concluded a management agreement with the owner of the building and Gerard O’Brien-guided Silverleaf Investments.
“As an important business hub, Perth is a fantastic place for us to stimulate our expansion plans,” he said.
“We are very pleased to work with Silverleaf Investments to develop the Spaces brand under a management agreement that will add an advanced workspace to their building.
“Our opening in Fremantle comes at a time when more and more companies discover that flexible and platform works is incredibly popular with employees, improving their balance and satisfaction of the work and satisfaction, while also offering a multitude of benefits to companies.
“Our workplace model has been proven that it increases productivity and enables a company to scale up considerably lower costs and at the same time give access to thousands of locations.”
IWG WA and Queensland Regional Director Dayle Perkins said the company responds to a high demand in Australia, and in particular Fremantle.
“We see an incredibly strong demand for flexible workplaces in Fremantle, and it is only growing,” he said.
“With the question that goes beyond CBDs to metro and regional areas, we are fully planning to expand our footprint here and bring more flexible workplaces of world class [WA]. “
The global flexible workspace operator has seven centers in the entire state, after opening Spaces Nedlands in 2023.
His other company, Regus, will open a center in Subiaco later this year.
IWG reported a record revenue of $ 4.2 billion last year and signed 899 new locations worldwide.
In its statement, the company claimed: “30 percent of all commercial real estate will be flexible workspace in 2030”.

It is set to open Premium Offices in Brookfield Place in 2026.
