For the first time, IU Basketball is organizing an event for fans on Kirkwood Avenue in Bloomington next month.
The event, entitled ‘Hoosier Hoops on Kirkwood’, takes place on Thursday 2 October.

Bloomington, Ind.-Indiana men’s and women’s basketball starts the 2025-26 season with a new interactive fan event, Hoosier Hoops at Kirkwood, on Thursday 2 October from 20-10 hours et.
One of the attractions of the event will be player introductions, skills competitions and opportunities for each other and Greet. It will take place on one of the most iconic college -backgrounds on Kirkwood Avenue and Sample Gates, over 300, 400 and 500 blocks.
The ladies’ program comes from his 10th consecutive 20-win season and sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament performance in 2024-25 and are led by head coach Teri Moen, who will take its 12th season to the helm of the program. Senior guard Shay Ciezki (11.4 ppg.) Returns to accompany the Hoisiers if Redshirt Second -year guard Lenée Beaumont is ready for return after an injury last season held her offside. The selection will contain eight new players, including the last two Miss Indiana Basketball winners in Maya Makaluksy (2025) and Chloe Spreen (2024).
The men’s team underwent a complete overhaul and was emphasized by the recruitment of head coach Darian Devries, the 31st head coach of the program, on March 19, 2025. Devries brought the 10th ranking transfer portal class within 247sports. The 10 players class consisted of very productive players from successful programs. Fifth-year senior guard Lamar Wilkerson (Sam Houston State) on average 20.5 points per match and shot 44.5% from behind the 3-point line in 2024-25, while fifth-year Senior Voorwarte Tucker Devries (Drake, West Virginia) has an average of 17.7 points in 112 CARRIER.
